That urban breeding pattern is a meaningfully different mosquito control problem than the marsh and wetland breeding mosquitoes more commonly associated with rural Louisiana, since Aedes aegypti thrives on the clogged gutters, unused flowerpots, and discarded tires found in ordinary residential yards rather than needing large bodies of standing water.
